Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, handle, email address, date of birth, and phone number.
• Profile — your bio, role, website, and profile photo (all optional beyond name/handle).
• Content you create — posts (including photos and videos), captions, comments, and direct messages.
• Your “Think” conversations and intents — what you tell the AI about what you’re seeking or offering. These are private inputs used to power matching; they are not published on your profile.
• Activity & usage — what you view, engage with, and connect to, which we use to improve your matches and feed.
• Device & technical data — basic information needed to operate the service (e.g. app version, general device type, IP-derived signals for security and rate limiting), and, if you enable notifications, a device push token.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service — accounts, profiles, posting, messaging, and the AI-powered matching that is Ventrocity’s whole point.
• To keep the community safe — detecting abuse, enforcing our Terms, and acting on reports.
• To communicate with you — transactional emails and, if enabled, notifications (a new match, a connection request, a reply).
• To understand and improve the product in aggregate.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show your private Think inputs or intents to other users.

AI processing & third-party providers

To deliver the service, your Think conversations and the content you post are processed by third-party AI providers — Anthropic and OpenAI— to generate responses, understand content, and compute the matches and recommendations you see. We send them the text (and, where relevant, images) needed to perform these functions. We rely on the following service providers (“sub-processors”):

• Anthropic & OpenAI — AI processing of your conversations and content, and matching/recommendation computations.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and media storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

Providers act on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments, and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes beyond providing their service to us.

What stays private

Ventrocity is built on a privacy-first idea: you connect through private inputs rather than public performance. Your Think conversations and intents are never published on your profile or shown to other users — they drive matching behind the scenes. Your profile, posts, and connection counts are visible to other members.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account; this permanently removes your profile, posts, messages, matches, and handle. You may also email us at support@ventrocity.com to request deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise them, contact us at support@ventrocity.com. In-app account deletion is available to everyone today.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to limit who can access it.

Children

Ventrocity is for people aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13; if we learn we have, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
